GuruJi 2020 New Years Message

Aum Shri Ganeshaye Namah

Hare Krishna!

Excitement! Excitement! Excitement! I am exceedingly happy this year to be writing this New Years message because so many wonderful things have happened and the Mandir as a whole has grown from strength to strength. Congratulations to the newlyweds Arun and Shachi, Ashley and Louise, Sanjay and Halle and best wishes to the newly engaged Ektasha and Mitesh. We look forward with excitement to 2020.

I would like to thank the trustees, all committee members and membership as a whole for their dedicated and kind support towards the future of the Mandir. We must acknowledge here the help of Vijay who has been bringing the community together every Monday morning for Shiv Abishek.

My special congratulations honour and best wishes goes particularly to the youths of Dharma, who have grown both materially and spiritually. The achievements of the youth have been very remarkable in the last year and I would like to thank the parents who have taken the effort and the trouble to bring their children regularly to the Mandir. Most of the children have achieved great success and the Mandir is very proud and honoured for their achievements. With the blessings of Saraswati Mata and dedication of our students, the school reports have been very good and the GCSE and A level results have been remarkable. Hearty congratulations to Devesh for his excellent GCSE results, setting a high benchmark for others to follow. New entrances into universities makes us very proud, namely Mahima and Raksha achieving their places at Queen Mary’s University of London and Anjeni at Kingston University. And I would like to cite the achievement of Asha who successfully completed her MBA, Darin for graduating from Brunel University and Sri for getting a year placement at Harvard University in the USA. In the job spectrum, most of our youths have achieved good job positions. With particular commendation to Ektasha, Mitesh and Kessia. Well done to the young Pandits of Dharma who have already conducted pujas in the UK and internationally in Mauritius. With a special mention to Deon on passing his driving test and warmest congratulations on his new car.

My sincere thanks to all the elders and advisors who have helped the children in different ways to achieve the heights they have. With special gratitude to Pt Tiwari and Mataji Kunti. This is the power of the Dharma Youth Yatra!

I would finally like to say a big thank you to all the support and help that individuals and groups have given to allow Dharma to achieve its successes.

In saying thank you, I’d like to wish everybody a happy and prosperous new year.

Satyam Shivam Sundaram
