Guruji Vyas Sharma is the vision and inspiration behind Dharma Mandir, under his leadership, Dharma grew into a dynamic spiritual organisation with organised Satsangs worldwide.

He arrived in London on September 17th, 1963. At the age of 18, he was already an established Pundit in Guyana. In London he went on to do his A-Levels at Norwood Technical College followed by accountancy in South West London College. All the meanwhile, he was performing weddings and pujas around London.

Being a doctor, engineer, accountant or lawyer never truly captivated him, it was simply part of his journey along the pathway to his true purpose to fulfil his motto that individually we are zero, but collectively we are dynamite.

Guruji has travelled throughout the world, dedicating his life to the well-being of others, fostering love, peace, harmony, righteousness, faith in God, and community service. His compassion and deep concerns for humanity have pioneered conscious efforts to alleviate these problems through inspired moral, social, educational and spiritual projects globally. Driven by his quiet, undisturbed love for God, and with his genuine care and compassion, he is a “people’s guru” through and through, reaching out to all, irrespective of age, class, colour or creed.

History
HISTORY OF DHARMA MANDIR

The inspiration for Dharma Mandir began in the early 1970’s with a rapidly growing community of devotees who followed the teachings of our young Spiritual Leader- Guruji Vyas Sharma.

In the '80s Dharma Mandir constituted a Guyanese Pundit (our Guruji) shuttling his devotees from house to house in an American Van to perform Satsang and Pujas all across the UK.

Thus the start of Caring is Sharing.

This was the foundation of the community spirit that grew throughout the '90s leading to the formation of the Dharma Foundation. After years of grand-scale Pujas and events in hired halls, such as in St Peters Church in Church Street, it was decided that the Dharma Family needed a Home.

By 2001, Guruji founded and inaugurated the first Dharma Mandir in Enfield as the Dharma Foundation had expanded with devotees from all over the world. It later became a registered charity in July 2011, equipping the Mandir with a structure and tools to reach more of society.

The Mandir was created as a safe space that allowed devotees to leave their worries and fears behind and immerse themselves in the bliss of Satsang and be enlightened from the Pravachans of Guruji. Over the past two decades, Dharma Mandir has touched the souls of countless individuals worldwide and will continue to do so in the future.

OUR MISSION
Our Mission

Our mission statement is “Uplifting Dharma in a Caring and Sharing Environment”.

Dharma Mandir strives to bring humanity together by ensuring the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of each and every devotee, through the love and devotion of Bhagwan.

We would like to awaken the minds of our devotees and free them from the shackles of materialism, illusion and misery. No longer will they have short-term bursts of happiness but sublime lives, filled with gratitude and purpose, guided by divine anecdotes from our Spiritual Leader - Guruji Vyas Sharma.

We believe our mission is to touch at least one soul in our lifetime, so that they too may have the opportunity to live a life of purpose and elation.
